Verena Dobnik

Wellesley High School Writer: Verena Dobnik (1971)

At WHS, Verena, who had been born in Slovenia, was known both for her quiet straight A brilliance and for her exquisite violin playing (she was a member of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, and performed classically with a string quartet).  Since 1991, she has been a reporter for the Associated Press, and during that time has covered many major stories, internationally and in the U.S.
