Sarah Manguso

Sarah revealed her poetic gift early at Wellesley High School, and her work as a poet, an essayist, and finally as a novelist has garnered great praise from all corners. Jhumpa Lahiri calls Sarah, “one of the most original and exciting writers working in English today.” Her work has been recognized by an American Academy of Arts and Letters Literature Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Hodder Fellowship, and the Rome Prize.
Before her most recent novel, Very Cold People, she published 7 books: 300 Arguments, Ongoingness, The Guardians, The Two Kinds of Decay, Hard to Admit and Harder to Escape, Siste Viator, and The Captain Lands in Paradise. She contributes regularly to The New Yorker as well as other publications, and she currently teaches creative writing at Antioch University.
