Wellesley High School Author: Lyn Eliot (1989)

            Short-form filmmaker.   Lyn writes:  “I like to make short films that bring to the surface the strange undercurrents of everyday life.  My most recent work is a collaborative anthology film titled Lessons from Exes, supported by a Rock Grant from the Charlotte Street Foundation and the KU Spencer Museum of Art.  Over the past 20 years, my films have screened and won awards at film festivals across the U.S., such as South by Southwest; and internationally (the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival, among others).  I have received an Arts KC Inspiration Grant, and an Individual Artist Grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.  I have an M.F.A. in Film and Video Production, and am a Professor of Film and Media Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.”
