Covid Policy

The Wellesley Free Library strives to offer excellent library services to all.  In addition to the quality of the facility and the collection, it is equally important to have a library staff that is trained to provide friendly, efficient, and accurate service at all times. 

In March of 2020, a global pandemic changed the nature but not the intent of service.

In order to keep the staff and community safe from Covid-19 and its variants, unprecedented measures were put into place and continue to evolve as the science evolves.

The Wellesley Free Library follows Federal, State and local mandates.  The Library works collaboratively with the Wellesley Board of Health. The Library may create additional policies within the Library for its staff and patrons. 

Until Covid polices are rescinded, Covid policies and protocols supersede existing policies and protocols.

Notwithstanding the above, this policy may be subject to exception at the discretion of the director and/or board of library trustees.
