VOLUNTEERS
Wellesley Free Library volunteers support, enrich, and enhance the Library's services and programs by performing tasks that paid staff members are not available to do. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule of at least two hours a week for a minimum of 16 weeks. We do ask that you keep your hours as regular as possible, call in when you cannot make it, and provide advance notice of vacations.
Application
New volunteers will be asked to fill out an application form. It is available in the Administrative Office, or online by submitting the volunteer application form.
Training
When you become a volunteer, you will be assigned a Staff Supervisor, who will provide proper training. Because of staffing considerations, it will probably be necessary to arrange training on a weekday, although we will try to accommodate your schedule as much as possible.
Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Program. We hope you will find your volunteer experience at the Library a pleasant and rewarding one.
